Why purchase the FULL Edition?

While Couture Free is already one of the best and most unusual transient shaper on the market, the way you deal with attacks is mostly volume. To have a tape-ish sound out of drums, one that make the transient super clean and pleasant, you will want to control the opening of a lowpass filter with the (oddly called) Mood parameter. In advanced Couture usage, you use a combination of volume transient shaping and lowpass dynamic opening to create the exact attack you have in mind. This is an amount of control on the attack that we believe no other plug-in can give you.

Now there is the dynamics-preserving saturation. Couture simply sounds a lot better than most saturators with static curves. Caring about dynamics while saturating makes sense more often than not, and this is exactly the type of organic, analog distortion Couture is best at. Because you still get the freedom to change gain staging around Couture, it shines best as a preamp replacement. You can get a very "vintage console" sound by putting Couture first on every track, because its true nature is replacing the function of the preamp.
